Udta India

Saw this awesome movie named Udta Punjab a week ago and most importantly I saw both the censored and the uncensored version and yessss everyone must, must watch it! There's so much we've got to learn from the movie! Amazing story telling and how well have Alia Bhatt and my very favourite Shahid Kapoor played their respective roles! More than a 'paisa vasool' movie, it has got more of learning into it!
I've got the inspiration to write this blog from Udta Punjab which is a very fascinating movie!
I'd always seen crime shows related to marketing of drugs and how youngsters get trapped into this drug thing! But this movie entirely changed my view towards every little thing!
For all those who haven't really understood the meaning of drugs and what they're actually meant to be used for, drugs are used for the purpose of medication and that's it's only use! But our outlook towards drugs is basically based on mere addiction!
Teenagers have got most of the freedom nowadays and to the ones who don't get this freedom they just wanna get it by hook or by crook and they're the ones who want to try every thing in their life time not knowing that those things could take away their life, its mere fatal attraction! Me being in my teenage years, I'm well aware of what we teenagers do at this point of our life! We just wanna fly higher and higher and be in the so called "udta" zone! That's what teenage life is meant to be like! Freedom is what we youngsters desire the most! But you've got your own issues that you're supposed to deal with and running away from problems is what we youngsters love the most! It's not the drugs that make us a drug addict, it's the need to escape reality!
We're all in the same game, just different levels. Dealing with the same hell, just different levels!
I wish I could portray how incredibly has Alia Bhatt played the role of a poor girl who wants to earn money and learn hockey! The movie has got so much to teach us!! India, it's poverty, rape cases, the need to improve our government and security forces! How the national game of India is hardly played in our country!
It's so true to say that some people give their best when they're high on weed or cocaine! Shahid aka Tommy Singh does the same thing in the movie, he's a star when he's high on drugs! But even when he's not high on drugs he sings amazingly well ! But drugs give him strength! Drugs take you to hell, disguised as heaven!
 Drugs kill the pain
 And the joy
And the hope
And the body
And the brain
And finally
The soul
India deserves so much more than what it actually is!! Better doctors just like Kareena Kapoor in the movie. This lady is an inspiration to all the doctors out there, more than a better doctor, she was more of a better person which made her performance absolutely terrific!!
No matter how many problems come, how much low you feel, taking the help of such temporary things won't make you come out of it easily, infact it'll trap you more!
I can't forget to mention the fact that there's no such scene in the movie which the people don't deserve to watch! One of the most inspiring movies I've seen so far! I wish it would have been Udta India instead of Udta Punjab!!!!!

Victimless Crime

So I read a post on Facebook a few days back which had something to say about the word " prostitution" and this is what made me write this blog!
The word prostitution is derived from a Latin word "prostituta" and the word by itself means " to put up front for sale".
Maybe what the old generation thought about prostitution was correct according to them but today's scenario is a bit different! We hear about rapes every single day! But prostitution is a victimless crime! It is illegal, hence we call it a crime!
Once it's becomes legal, I'm sure many of the youths might think about it a career option because it's all of about making money!
Why is prostitution taken as a taboo by our society?
Millions of people claim the prostitutes as morally incorrect human beings but has anyone ever given a thought to what they go through? Lack of education in our society and extreme poverty is the reason behind one choosing himself or herself to be a prostitute.
Let's think of a country where everyone is highly educated and has employment options, so will such a country won't face the problem of prostitution? There's a lot to think about. We live in dystopia and claim it to be utopia! To make our society a better place, one must change his or her thoughts! If money is the only thing we all are surviving for, then maybe there's nothing wrong about prostitution. Think over it!
Think about you being the patriarch or matriarch and you have to earn and fulfil each ones need in your family! You have kids and you are a responsible family member, so you've got so many responsibilities!
Now the other way, think about a prostitute who might also be the patriarch or matriarch and has his or her responsibilities and think of him or her being uneducated!
Let's take all this in a positive way and think of them doing there job and being responsible isn't a crime!
Now it's time to think about the people who are forcefully dragged into this field and they don't have any other option but to do so! Now that's a crime for sure!
After some years when prostitution becomes legal and we have got too many people into it, coming ahead and stepping into this so called taboo, it won't be a crime anymore! And fortunately we won't even claim it to be a taboo. Sounds amazing, isn't it?
I've got too many guy friends and I've this stupid habit about asking random questions to all my friends!Whenever I've asked any of my guy friends about marrying a prostitute, they simply say "No" , and my very next question to them is " What if you fall in love with her?" And they claim that they would think twice before falling for such a girl. You can fall for anyone, love is crazy, it can't be controlled!! I'm damn shocked to hear such answers from them because they're all amazing human beings and care for every girl they meet! But even they would hesitate before falling in love with a prostitute! This is what society has taught us, we think about our society more than anything else! Is this humanity
There are so many stereotypes pertaining to these individuals. Why do we still look at them as mere sexual objects? Time to open your eyes!! The harsh truth is that it's just because of them that some rape cases are avoided. They're all human beings just like we are!!
Living in the 21st century and still thinking about what our society would think about us!! That's a taboo for sure!
